Black Hole
Black hole is the ultimate cemetery

This aesthetic picture, forming a rosette or petals of a flower may demonstrate how the science of psychology serves as the basis for works of art. The picture comprises numerous lines, each of a progressively diminishing width, which meet at the center. No single line in itself, separated from its neighbors, reveals any extraordinary behavior. However, the combination of the lines results in a configuration adding interest effects to the painting, such as: shadows, curved fringes followed by a whirling or vibrating sensation as well as sense of pull, attraction towards the center. It should be noted that these sensations do not actually exist in the picture, they take place in our brain.

Black hole, one of the construction elements of our universe, is a massive and very compressed star. It has an extremely strong gravity field in its vicinity, so that light, which has a finite velocity, and matter, as well as energy, are strongly attracted to it and get sucked in never to leave, and vanish from our universe. The complete absorption of light accounts for the name black hole.

The picture seems to suggest an agitated, stormy atmosphere - a depiction if you will, a work of art conveying a sense of "experiencing" a black hole, something that has never actually been observed.

The picture demonstrates how the science of psychology - visual illusions - serves as the basis of works of art.
