Anonymous B:

You claim that extremism is always mistaken. The usual rebuttal to this claim is the slogan used by Goldwater against liberals in his elections: "Extremism in the pursuit of justice is not a vice!"

Regev:

Even the pursuit of justice in the extreme manner may be bad, read "Michael Kolhas". Also the pursuer of the justice may not see the whole truth. My thesis is not only that extremism is bad but that it is also ineffective because the end results are usually the opposite of the desired ones. I once heard someone trying to convince us that some computer is the best computer system in the world. Her words were so extreme that the people who heard her concluded she was wrong and the head of that company in Israel at that time felt uneasy with such a talk.
