Biography

Prof. Shmuel Hauser is an Associate Professor at the School of Management, Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, Israel. He received a BA in Economics and Statistics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, MA in Finance from the School of Business at The Hebrew University and a Ph.D. in Finance from Temple University, Philadelphia in 1986. He taught finance theory, option theory applications, international finance and corporate finance at the Hebrew University, Ben Gurion University and Temple University.

Prof. Hauser joined Ben Gurion University in 1995. He is the chief economist of the Israel securities Authority since 1989. His research is focused on pricing derivative securities, portfolio choice, international finance and regulation in capital markets.
