We are pleased to invite you to participate in the “Waves and Instabilities in Space and Astrophysical Plasmas” workshop to be held in Eilat on the campus of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev from Sunday June 19, 2011 (arrival) to Friday June 24 (departure). The meeting is organized under the auspices of the Office for Science and Technology of the French Embassy in Israel, with the support of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
There will be no registration
fees.
The format of the workshop and the length of the talks will be specified after the list of participants has been finalized. We thus kindly invite you to confirm your attendance at your earlier convenience, and to send us a tentative title of your talk with a brief abstract.
The participation of young scientists, both PhD students and post-doc fellows, is strongly encouraged. We shall do our best to cover part of their local expenses.
Located on the northern tip of the Red Sea, Eilat is a touristic resort with a large number of hotels of different standings. An agreement which will enable the participants of the workshop to benefit of a special price (1 shekel is approximately 0.2 Euros) was made with:

Domestic flights connect Tel Aviv (both from Ben Gurion and Sde Dov airports) and Eilat.

Furthermore, charter flights also connect some European airports to Eilat, especially during the summer.
Early reservations are highly recommended for both the hotel and the flights (both international and domestic) in this highly touristic period.
