Short Biography:
I was educated at the "ORT" High School in Beit-She'an and the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (B.Sc. in physics and B.Sc., M.Sc., and
Ph.D. in Materials Engineering). My Ph. D. thesis was about "The Inter-relationships between the Static and Dynamic Mechanical
Properties and the Microstructure of Reaction Bonded Boron Carbide Composites", under the supervision of Prof. Nahum Frage, Prof.
Moshe Dariel and Prof. Eugene Zaretsky. After the Ph.D. I did my postdoctoral work at the Peter A. Rock Thermochemistry Laboratory
and NEAT ORU, University of California, Davis, CA USA. In Oct. 2011 I re-joined the Department of Materials Engineering at the Ben-
Gurion University of the Negev this time as a faculty member.
Awards & Distinctions:
2009-2011 - ISEF postdoctoral fellowship.
2009 - Wolf foundation award for excellence.
2005 - The best undergraduate work award on the subject: "The use of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis for joining ceramics",
from the Israel Materials & Processes Society.

Thermochemistry and thermophysical properties of materials
Retaining nanostructure during ceramic sintering.
Sintering behavior of ceramics in the presence of electric field.
Development of advanced ceramics.
