Activism
Ron always felt that volunteering for the benefit of humans and animals and nature is the thing to do. Here are a few examples:
+ Becoming a teacher in the poor town of Yerucham in the middle of the desert.

+ Being an active Amnesty International member. Ron is an Amnesty International member for decades, and in the 90s Ron was the chairperson of the Israeli Section.

+ Being an active member of Greenpeace and participating in some wild actions such as the hijacking of a waste dumping ship.

(Ron is the guy in the water, just in front of the front tip of the ship. Ron took part in this action together with an international team from Greenpeace, and together with his good friend, Ory Zik, who was at the time, the Chairperson of Greenpeace in Israel.)
+ Helping the Arab society within and around Israel. For example, Ron was a member of the steering committee of the BGU center for the promotion of Bedouin society and students (see pictures). In another activity (see picture) Ron helps Palestinian farmers collect their crops (in this case olives).
