Born in Germany Jürgen studied Physics at the University of
Konstanz (1984-1988), in Grenoble (1988-1989) and again in Konstanz
(1989-1993). He specialized in solid state physics and optics. He
then taught Physics in a private school in Switzerland (1994-1996).
He joined BGU in 1997 and the Minerva center on 1999 where he worked
on the wetting behavior of polymers and elastomers. He became a staff
member in the Ilse Katz Center for Meso- and Nanoscale Science and
Technology in 2002 and is heading its SPM unit.
Some of his publications are listed below.
Selected publications

water droplets on hydrophobic microtextures of comparable size"
Langmuir 20 (23): 10015-10019 NOV 9 2004.
