ARES Rheometer - Advanced Rheometric Expansion System

The ARES rheometer (TA Instruments) is a controlled strain rheometer used for the determination of rheological properties such as steady shear viscosity, normal force, shear modulus, complex viscosity, storage and loss modulus for fluids with medium to high viscosities such as polymer melts, polymer solutions, and surfactant systems.

Technical data:

• Transducer type: 200FRTN1

• Torque range: 0.008-200 g-cm.

• Normal force range: 0.1-100 gmf.

• Temperature range: -20 to 120° C Thermostated water bath or Peltier controlled to a precision of ±0.01 °C.

• The data is captured with RSI Orchestrator program and advanced rheological analysis is carried out with IRIS software.

• Geometries: parallel plates (25 & 50 mm), cone and plate (25 & 50 mm with cone angles of 0.02 and 0.04 rad), 34 &

17 mm couette and double wall couette.
